Thank you for for your interest in Thunder Bay Theatre’s future and current needs. We are extremely grateful for your consistent support for what we are doing here at the Theatre. We are at a crucial time in our history, and this Capital Campaign is of the utmost importance.
In many ways, our building is on the verge of collapse. Each rainy day brings new leaks in the upstairs actor housing and backstage, heating bills continue to rise because of poor insulation and old windows, and our external walls desperately need reinforcement.
We love our old building and the history that comes along with it, and we would love to continue producing theatre in this building for many years to come. To ensure that, our building needs quite a lot of work.
Our Capital Campaign will last through the next five years, and we’re aiming to raise at least $700,000. With those funds, we’ll be able to fix all of the major structural issues in our building as well as renovate areas to improve the experiences of
every person who steps through our doors.
